We’re going to go right out there and say it: the consultation is the most important part of the service. Many a girl has been bummed out with hairdos that were not what they expected. The consultation is the moment when the client expresses her hopes and dreams for her hair, and the stylist sets expectations so everyone is on the same page before the service starts. We can either make your favorite idea come to life, or make suggestions for something you never thought you could have. 

Every service at Union Beauty is accompanied by a thorough consultation. For your consultation, bring pictures, if you have them, and an open mind. We can’t wait to collaborate with you!

Tips for a great Union Beauty experience

We strive to stay on schedule, and your promptness helps us stay on time for other clients.

Please come to your consultation ready to discuss. Bring pictures! Even if they aren’t exactly what you want, they are a good starting point for the discussion.

Correct head position is critical for good technical execution of a hair service. Please let the stylist position your head where appropriate and keep your cell phone use to a minimum.

Speaking of cell phones, we ask that you please keep use to necessary calls only in an effort to not disrupt the experience of other clients.

We love children, we really do. Little visitors are really great. But please consider making other arrangements for your small children when you come for your service. A salon is not the safest place for a child, since hot tools, very sharp objects, and chemicals are in regular use.

Because our space is very limited, we usually cannot accomodate friends or sidekicks while you are receiving your service. The Tea Lounge and Cafe Regular du Nord are nearby nice places to wait. 

We want to know how we did! Please feel free to provide feedback, either positive or negative, to the stylist or salon owner directly. We want you to be thrilled with your hair and will do whatever it takes to make sure you are. And please contact us within 2 weeks of your service if something needs to be adjusted.

Cancellation Policy

At Union Beauty, we require twenty-hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. Clients who cancel with insufficient notice will be subject to a cancellation fee based on the price of the missed appointment.
